Willowbank: what
actually goes wrong.
Willowbank is best known for Queensland Raceway and Willowbank Raceway, but away from the track it is a rural-residential area of acreage properties south-west of Yamanto, near RAAF Base Amberley. Homes here manage their own water and wastewater, and the flat, open land drains slowly after heavy rain.
Properties in Willowbank sit on larger blocks, usually with rainwater tanks and an on-site wastewater system rather than a sewer connection. That changes the whole exercise: long pipe runs, pumps and treatment systems mean a blockage or a leak can be almost anywhere, and guessing gets expensive fast.
