Every network tap in the City of Ipswich pours the same Seqwater product from Mt Crosby. What differs between suburbs is whether you are on that network at all, what the pipes add on the way in, and the state of the creek your stormwater runs to. We pulled the government figures together and scored each suburb so you can read yours in two minutes.

Healthy Land & Water grades every South East Queensland catchment each year. All three that Ipswich drains to were rated poor in the 2025 Report Card.
Bremer River catchment
The Bremer rises near Rosewood and Warrill Creek, runs through the centre of Ipswich and meets the Brisbane River at Barellan Point. Bundamba, Deebing, Ironpot, Western and Warrill creeks all drain into it. Most of the City of Ipswich sits in this catchment.

Lower Brisbane River catchment
The tidal Brisbane River below Mt Crosby Weir, and the creeks that run into it from the eastern side of Ipswich: Woogaroo, Six Mile, Goodna and Opossum creeks. Greater Springfield, Goodna, Redbank Plains and the riverside acreage suburbs drain here.

Mid Brisbane River catchment
The 65 km of the Brisbane River between Wivenhoe Dam and Mt Crosby Weir. It is where the drinking water for Ipswich and Brisbane is drawn from, so its condition matters to every tap in the city, not just to the properties beside it.

Redbank Plains & surrounds
Our home base and its neighbours along Redbank Plains Road and the Ipswich Motorway, where 1980s clay drains and new-estate easements sit a street apart.
Greater Springfield
Master-planned neighbourhoods south-east of our base, where the first homes are now old enough to need their first replacements.
Bundamba & the eastern corridor
Older suburbs along the railway and Bundamba Creek, holding some of the oldest earthenware drains in the city — and a creek that has flooded them twice.
Ipswich Central & inner suburbs
Heritage streets and character homes around the Bremer, where century-old drains run beneath mature street trees.
Brassall, Karalee & the north-west
North of the Bremer and along the Brisbane River, from post-war streets on town sewer to acreage on tanks and septic systems.
Ripley Valley & the south
One of Queensland’s fastest-growing corridors, where almost every drain question concerns a home built in the last fifteen years.
Rosewood & the rural west
Historic townships and rural-residential blocks towards the Scenic Rim, where most properties manage their own water and wastewater.
