What’s different
in Marburg.
Rural Marburg properties handle roof water through tanks and overflows, with surface drains and swales taking the rest. A tank overflow discharging in the wrong place, a blocked ag-line behind a retaining wall or an eroded swale will all put water where you do not want it. None of them is a pipe problem.
Stormwater on older Marburg properties was extended piecemeal over the decades: downpipes discharging to the surface, pipes of unknown route, connections nobody has a plan for. Pooling water or overflowing gutters can trace to a blocked or collapsed line, a connection never made, or a system built for a smaller roof than the house has now.
