Bundamba is one of the older suburbs on the eastern side of Ipswich, home to the racecourse, the TAFE campus and a long coal-mining history. Bundamba Creek runs through it and rose sharply in the 2011 and 2022 floods, affecting homes and infrastructure on the low ground.
