Booval: what
actually goes wrong.
Booval is a well-established suburb centred on Booval Fair shopping centre and the railway station, with streets of older timber homes mixed with post-war brick houses and newer units. Low-lying parts near Bundamba Creek were affected in the 2011 and 2022 floods.
Most of Booval was built before PVC drainage and copper or PEX water pipes became standard, so earthenware sewer lines, galvanised water pipes and original cisterns are still in the ground and still working. That age is what drives the enquiries here: blockages that keep coming back at the same joint, corrosion leaks inside walls, and fixtures whose parts stopped being made decades ago.
